Tomorrow will be Earth Day ~ A day to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. Of cos, we should appreciate our mother EArth every now and then, not just tomorrow~~
If you have subscribe to Starhub cable and has National Geographic channel...maybe you can tune in to this channel tomorrow to watch some of the documentary films made specially for Earth Day. One particular film I'm very interested with is - Silence of the bees. It is basically on how scientists and bee experts trying to trace and solve an urgent global mystery on the widespread vanishing of honeybees, an insect crucial to our food supply and economy......
In the winter of 2006, a strange phenomenon fell upon honeybee hives across the country. Without a trace, millions of bees vanished from their hives. A precious pollinator of fruits and vegetables, the disappearing bees left billions of dollars of crops at risk and threatened our food supply. The epidemic set researchers scrambling to discover why honeybees were dying in record numbers -- and to stop the epidemic in its tracks before it spread further.
